

Easter Eggstravaganza
slated for March 31
First Baptist Church of Bronte will host an Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday,
March 31, at the pavilion and baseball fields in Bronte. The event will kick off at 11
am with bounce houses, games, and snow cones. A hot dog lunch will follow at 12 noon.
Beginning at 12:45, an egg hunt will be held for all children 6th grade and under.
All are encouraged to attend for some free, family fun! For more information, contact

meet for a wonderful meal and

FUMC-Bronte to host
Easter Services
The Good Friday Service will be held on March 30 at 7 pm. This day is celebrated by the Christian faith as the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
The Easter Sunrise Service will be held on April 1 at 7 am at the Gentry Ranch (located 5
miles west of Bronte on Highway 158). This is an annual event and is open to
everyone. Following the service, there will be a free breakfast. As this is an outdoor event, plan to dress for the unpredictable West
Texas weather! Also feel free to bring a blanket and make yourself comfortable.
The Easter Worship Service at the church will be on April 1 will be at 11 am.
Holy Week is a great opportunity to learn more about the Christian Faith. Everyone is always welcome. Dress is casual
- come as you are and enjoy
learning the Word.
Cooking Well classes
set to begin April 9
Cooking Well, a four-part, hands on cooking school will begin on Monday, April 9, at 6 pm at the Robert Lee Rec Hall.
The classes are for those with diabetes, those who prepare foods for someone who does, or
just for someone who wants to learn how to cook healthier meals.
The dates for the course and their topic are listed below.
April 9 - Recognizing carbohydrates in recipes and using sweeteners effectively;
April 16 - How to make recipes with fat better for you (healthy fats and fat substitutions);
April 23 - Reducing sodium and increasing fiber;
April 30 - Special event recipes that are healthy and delicious.
The deadline to RSVP for the classes is Wednesday, April 4, and can be done by calling the Coke County Extension Office
